The BeamDog client warns about it explicitely before it applies an update. Steam probably not if updates are auto-enabled.

The only upside to EE anyway is having more NPCs Xan could talk to!

Installing EE patches to your modded game erases all mods from it.
You have to install everything anew and start a new game. Using an old save in a newly modded (and patched) game will messthings up.

Has anyone else had problems with the new BG2 patch messing up the Xan mod's voice files?
