query: Would repositing the code, fixes, etc. onto github or equivalent (similar to NearInfinity, BG2 Fixpack and other mods) be useful to you-all developers?
It might if there was a "you-all" working on this, and if there was a working version, but I'm the only one who's done anything with the code in the last several months and the version in development is not a working version. If there's more developer interest, I'll put it up (it is also in the BP workroom since BP made its own Ascension) but right now my priority is BG1 stuff with the upcoming BGEE rather than ToB stuff.
That's exactly why this idea came to my mind: neither you or anyOne else should have to feel that you're carrying the load alone. There are other people monitoring & contributing to the mod's fixes, albeit maybe not with an actual development mindset.
There is a working version, buried within BWP fixes. Perhaps another reason for a central locale.
And if someone needs to go have a life and leave off their work for awhile, at least there's a development-friendly place (for e.g. structured revisions tracking) to monitor the progress. I'm assuming ('ass-') that such is a more conducive area than a discussion forum - but maybe I'm wrong!
I suppose anyone can setup the page on github--I could and would do it. I would want to ensure that the most recent contributors would actually prefer and use it.
I'll have to float the idea around some more. Onward to SHS and G3...
