I brought the game to crash after saving my char in the baldur.gam – without editing spells, only colours. (Although my char has innate spells memorized.)
Some colors can be picky (such as engine does not know see it, etc.), so probably what happened here.
I would say that it is very likely that the problem is indeed with the faulty colors themselves, not with NI.  1ppv3: Extended Palette Entries fixes these problems.  The latest version of this mod is one of the components found in 1ppv4.

That would be a CHR files you edited then - correct?  Some colors can be picky (such as engine does not know see it, etc.), so probably what happened here.

There is a new version series going now! - but not sure if it fixes anything (have not used yet):

Perhaps this is an issue with saving CREs in general?

Didn't happen with an old version 1.32 from 2004. (Yes, it's been a long time editing …  ;))

Yes...it is nuked.  You first need to set the spells in each level to quantities of zero (number of spells per level and number memorized) all around and save before you do anything else to the file.  Now you can add/delete spells and set the correct quantities .  Sometimes it still bugs a bit when you do this*, but it usually will not corrupt the file if you do the first step mentioned.

*for example - it may make a spell name go gibberish, so just re-add it, etc.

Hello, when I add memorized / known spells on a CRE file, this one is always corrupted after I save it. I've this problem with all versions available on spellhold-forums, but not with a old version of NI (2007).

Its just me or it's a bug ?
