Welcome to PPG!

I can safely recommend EasyTutu for a BG1 play in BG2 engine. My mods (Xan, Assassinations, Dungeon Crawl and so on) are okay, and so are Kelsey and Keto, Banter Packs, Flirt Packs, Dungeon Be Gone - that's what I played. I would recommend Tower of Deception by Valiant and quest mods by Lava Del'Vortel at shsforums.net. Take a look at NPC Interaction Project at shsforums - they had some issues with looping diaogues, but they offer new banters and friendships with some Bioware NPCs, which is good. From Gibberings3.net there are also a number of fun mods, namely Level1NPCs, Fixpack, Tweakpack, Kivan NPC, Angelo NPC and Romantic Encounters. Those I played, those I enjoyed with no bugs attached. I don't recommend installing more NPC mods than you need, though.

Of all these mods, Fixpack MUST be the first, and BG2 Tweaks and Level 1 NPCs must be one of the last. Widescreen mod also should go among the last. IF you are installing more than one NPC mod, install Crossmod Banter Pack from G3.

If you're going to play BG1 in BG2 engine, try BG1 NPC from G3(Level 1 NPCs and BG2 Tweaks will also be a great addition).

As for quests, BG2 tweaks removes a XP cap, and mods like Tower of Deception, Lava's Tales of the Deep Gardens, my Assassinations and Dungeon Crawl - these are all quest mods for more adventure and XP.

There are other good mods. However, please note that big installs(>15-20 mods) equal more installation time, more issues, more bugs. Also, one recommendation: before installing any mods, patch the game with the latest non-beta patch and backup your baldur.exe, dialog.tlk, chitin.key and your override directory. This way, if you want to do a full reinstall, which WILL happen at some time, you'll only need to delete your mod directories and override folder and weidu.log and restore a clean backup.

Enjoy your game!

Hey there guys,

I've seen the mod recommendation section, but I had a few questions regarding mods myself and recommendations for me personally :p, hoping you guys could help me out. I'm a bit new to the mod scene, I tried to add some mods a previous playthrough a couple of years ago, but some didn't work and others bugged the ending of the game.

Now I was wondering if you guys (and galls) could help me out with a recommended mod list and installl order. First question I would have regarding this is, can I add all the pocketplane mods to my game (with perhaps an added ascension) and still enjoy a bugfree game?

Otherwise I would love to have a recommended modlist, I'm looking for the most added content (quest and banter) possible without actually changing (meaning a complete rethinking of) the original game. I'm a bit of an XP hound, so something removing the level cap the best way would also be preferable. I'm not really looking to add a lot in terms of overall difficulty, I'm more a player who wants an enhanced version of both games BG1& 2.

Any recommendations where to start (please add an install order as well)? I'm looking for an experience as bugfree as possible as well?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but the recommendation thread seemed to not include install orders (and I'm looking for the most for my style of play aka added content as well)

Thanks!

Sengir
