Maybe one day there will be something nice and new...

Yes I realize this post is empty of any substance, but hopefully it draws the attention that this stuff needs.

. . . a mod to somehow alter Imoen's thief skills and lvl . . .
That's an interesting point. Messing with her Thieving skills is child's play, of course, but how would one alter the EXP/Level of the first class of a Dual-classed character? Sure, you can go into NI, find the correct offset, read it, increment it, and put it back--but you can't exactly do that while the game's running, now, can you?

About romanceable characters: have you tried Angelo? He is angsty, but in "I'm a seasoned guy" way; as I coded him, I can freely say he's rather good. :)

(And there're quite a few romantic lines, banters and scenes with Valygar, Cernd and Haer'Dalis in Romantic Encounters. Including an expansion for Teos from the Planar Sphere, so).

hmmm I think we need people to finish or hand off the mods they do not wanna complete >.>.....

but anyhow I think we need more rangers male or female. ummm I would like a Valygar romance, possibly a Cernd redemption/romance type thing, an haer'dalis romance, a mod to somehow alter Imoen's thief skills and lvl , and some sort of quest that gives more value to the 3 areas open ton you after the underdark.

I would like a quest pack or some sort of mod that improves the importance of having your own stronghold. I mean I played through BG2 and did the rather difficult task of capturing the planar sphere....FOR NOTHING! I mean it's an all mighty sphere which a very powerful organization wants there should be more. I would think the cowled wizards would be more...under handed in trying to gain control or that there would be some sort of crazy quest like a creature getting loose from the sphere BUT NO! The other strongholds are equally as bad but I pick on the Sphere because of the fact that it is supposed to be a rather powerful magical....sphere >.>....give me a quest an npc or SOMETHING!!

Also more romance-able characters...OK I know there are a lot but I mean one that isn't incredibly moany, whiny, or angsty. He/she could have a complicated past or something but that doesn't mean they have to be slightly annoying(even the npcs I love to death can be annoying at times)

I agree, there's an abundance of humans, but my choices for shorties and half-orcs is limited.

I'd like to feel that I can have romance as a Dwarf or Gnome without having to stand on tiptoes to get some lovin!

I agreed we need more shorties characters. Fortunately, the bigg is working on a halfing NPC - Stivan the Hunter.

Finally! :D

:)

"Fantasy is overused. Am I honestly the only one tired of aliens being everywhere? Write some sci-fi, people! I be delighted to see a horror novel. I'm partial to female characters, myself. Oh, I prefer black ones. Or Asians. Why isn't Frodo an Asian?"

...I'd understand "I have this mod idea (with some details)", but not the above.

Source of quotation?

Kulyok the Great? :) The thing is, I'm seeing "young authors should write less fantasy and more sci-fi"(for example) in Russian fandom on regular basis, and it's funny, but quickly grows old. (Although I can understand these people: when I see some mod/book ideas, I, too, want to say: "People, what were you smoking? Do share!")

Still, when it comes to mods, gender and race and alignment of an NPC matter very-very little. (Take gnomes: there's Finch, there's Tiax, and there's Jan Jansen). Even when it comes to character traits(light-hearted, plays rough, swallows "g", pretends to be tolerant/selfish, is really self-sacrificing and so on), it only matters so much. Their words matter, their desires matter; execution matters. Whether I can believe in them matters.

I think.

It'd be interesting maybe if it were a Deugar... or maybe a cheated character. WizSlayer/Thief Multiclass would become rather lethal after UAI and could be a fun challenge...

Please, highly consider heterosexuality for it though.

Why *ISN'T* Frodo an Asian????????

edit:

The original post was far too silly.  To keep it on track...

I'm actually reading some of these tutorials on NPC generation.  At this point, I'm very strongly considering creating a CG Dwarf F/T (?).  But this whole modding/coding thing is Greek to me, so I'll see how it turns out.

Not to jump on the bandwagon and say I second the above.

But I heartily support the desire for more Dwarves, Halflings, and Half-Orcs, with Females, Males, and either respectively.

Honestly how many female dwarves do we meet in any of the IE games? One? Brief little conversation with her, and she's assumed to be male (it's the beard). In most of the IE games, the female Halflings far outweigh the male in the adventuring profession. Now why is that? And Half-Orcs. Well we don't really have many of those of either gender.

And yeah, some gnomes too.
