Hopefully this patch isn't needed now version 18 is out, so I'll unpin the topic.

The link to the patch is dead currently, if anyone even reads this now.

Invincible trolls suck.

The tactic is RUN ! Run like the very devil and don't stop.

(cast invis, protection etc) and then run like hell to the south east corner of the map and escape out to the Map and back to the welcoming city gates.
I may be un-dignified but it's better than whopping trolls 'upside the head' until the 'cows come home', or until you go that horrid shade of black.....
Yeah, that does seem to be the easy way around the problem, thats how I did it anyway...make sure you got to the druid grove and kill the spiders and trolls first though....you do not want to have to run past them as well as the unkillable trolls. With the way clear its not too hard and if you've completed the grove already you don't have to ever come near them again.

If the patch don't work try this tactic....
Played it last night and was able to continue the quest.

Afraid it doesn't 100% work. Unsure if it's related, but the troll shaman still refuses to die.

On behalf of a frantic and Boo-less ranger currently suffering repeated and agonizing death in a futile bid to rescue his bootiful buddy ... many. many thanks  ;D

If you are experiencing unkillable trolls in the druid grove, extracting this patch into the override should resolve the problem.

Get it here.
