I think you will be fine with the new version - in fact, I would recommend it. :) Usually installing any Xan version on top of the previous one should work. Select him and press K key, if his select and confirm sounds become funny.

I was so excited to see a new version of Xan. I had paused in the game where I was doing the bonded path to experiment with a totally different game in which my character is not romancing Xan, and I don't think he'll be in the party any more for the rest of the game. I'm in ToB just about to tangle with Balty, so before long the game will be over. Anyway, I was thinking of installing the newest version of Xan and restarting the bonded path in a new game, so my question is: Will this cause any problems in my other savegame in which the romance is not being pursued?
