Hello -
Hi,
I managed to install EasyTutu correctly (hurrah!) Its really a great piece of work.
I have a secret wish to break the multiclass rules and create a Kensai/Mage multiclass ( i never played a fighter/mage style character, and i dont want to use dual class which is boring and overpowered, but i would still like to try the kensai).
Ive tried starting as a Fighter/Mage, and as a Kensai and then changing the savegame using Shadowkeeper. Ive also tried pregenerating the character, exporting it, and changing it to fighter/mage in shadowkeeper.
No matter how i go about it, whenever i level up the kensai part i get some wizard spell slots. So if i start as 1 K/1 M and add 4000 XP which gives 2K/1M i go from 1 level 1 spell to 2 level 1 spells. To check whether or not this problem keeps occuring at higher levels, i tried adding experience leading to level 6/6. I this case i should have 4/2/2 spells, but i have 5/3/3.
Do you guys have any idea if its possible to achieve a fully functional Kensa/mage multiclass?
PS: I know this is not strictly a Tutu question, but im trying to get it to work in Tutu, and i have a feeling people around here have a *really* good understanding of the inner workings of BG1/2.
Try extending the XP out to 8 million (ToB cap). As long as the mage spells are close, why worry about it? No sense in being adamant about playing exactly by the rules when you are already breaking them in the creation of this multi-class.
You might also try doing some forum searches in the BG2 forums at Sorcerer's Place. It seems like I always used to read about people trying things like this back in the day. If you find something that worked for someone in BG2, it ought to work in Tutu as well.
It is probably also possible to just edit the save on every level-up -- I'm pretty sure SK lets you adjust # of spells.
