One of the bits I liked best about BG1 was how you didn't even see many *elves*.  I'm sure if I tried counting 'em, I wouldn't even have to take off my socks.  A planewalker is rare.  So is a drow on the surface.  So is a demi-god wandering the earth.  The chances of all three of 'em potentially teaming up?  So rare that it just seems silly to me.  The argument to that is "Well, yeah, but it's a legendary story in the making.  You're *supposed* to be unique," but I just think it's... silly.

Well, I hope you enjoy the mod when it is finished anyway. (I am aware of the rarity of Githzerai.)

Yes, but you don't have to meet Viconia, or have her in the party.

Plus, one can always use Jordan's excuse for everything. Yep. You've heard me right.  Charname is a ta'veren. Sarevok is a ta'veren. Heck, all Bhaal's brood are ta'verens! That explains it all! Fate Spirit is really a loom of Ages, that spins the Pattern of the Sword Coast's history. And it weaves as it wills. So, if it wants to weave a planewalker into the Pattern, who are we to say no. :)

I dunno, I really like giz myself, and if we can't play with them in a game set in PS setting - which is not possible - I'd gladly add one onto my party in BG1. I think that Eranon's excuse to be on the Sword Coast is better than Viconia's or Xan's, or for that matter Drizzt's and Elminster's, so...

Yeah. I don't forsee him breaking the atmosphere of the setting; he's not going to be doing any fancy stuff (and is not any more magical than other races, just rarer).

Well from what I gather he is not traveling the planes that much, but joining my walk through the forests.

Planewalking NPCs in BG1.  This is a sad day in Tutu modding history.

I'm sorry you feel that way, old man. ;)

This is a little announcement to let you know about a new NPC mod for Tutu in development at The Gibberlings Three[/b]

This WeiDU mod adds the joinable NPC Eranon to Baldur's Gate Tutu. Eranon is a githzerai monk from the plane of Limbo, who finds himself stranded on Faerun after an Illithid-hunting expedition gone wrong. Eranon can be found recovering from his injuries in a cave in the Cloudpeak Mountains. He is of Lawful Neutral alignment.
