you should get certain cutscenes if you get all or most of your party drunk at one time, being able to go off solo during the night while they're drinking. oh, and you can get the option to buy people in your party a drink too, that might have some pretty hilarious stuffs >=)

All the people in your party should talk differently when they're drunk, minsc should sound intelligent, jan should SHUT UP and only say "...", aerie should be fearless and turn chaotic evil ;D until she's back to normal, nalia should act like she hates everyone, jaheira should talk trash about the harpers, viconia should turn chaotic good until she's back to normal and be all noble and stuff, edwin should act practically retarded and say everything in the ()'s out loud, mazzy should be obsessed with the color green... yeah, you get the idea =3

Ancient thread. But funny, for the most part.

I realize that this would require a tremendous amount of writing for something that would add nothing more than brief entertainment value. But then, I installed Cloakwood squares just to check it out, and I loved it! I was rolling on the floor, and called my boyfriend in to check it out. I wound up uninstalling it, because, let's face it, it's only funny the first couple times, but that first time had me in fits.

Before I found this old thread, I had actually tried getting my party tanked to see what would happen. I figured that if Bioware wrote in that intoxication was possible, there must have been more to it than a couple cheesy rumors about stuff you already knew by then. I could have tossed money at a temple for that info. But I was wrong, and felt betrayed.

Still, I would not hesitate to install any mod that offered drunken banters. Knowing about it in advance wouldn't spoil the surprise.

And it would add an element of realism. You've got a bunch of people travelling together, up to *here* in stress, relaxing in a tavern somewhere they feel relatively safe. They might very well bend their elbows once or twice.

Just FYI, I'm idly tinkering with creating a Drunken Master kit. (Kit of the Fighter and/or Monk; possibly applied not during Character Creation, but during the game itself: You must get your character falling down drunk and then win a bar brawl to have the kit applied to your character.)

I move that all Drunken Banters must be written by people who are drunk at the time.
Perhaps all further posting in this thread should be only by people who are drunk at the time.

I think female spellcasters (i.e mages, sorcerers, etc) aka the "Witches of Rashemen from where Minsc is from are highly regarded and honoured because of their role in liberating and defending Rashemen.....however there is no indication that males cannot be mages (unless it is stated in BG but that would be inaccurate information)
