Uh?

You can romance Jaheira without her ever getting cursed by Ployer (or get her cursed without romancing her).  Once Ployer is dead, she never refers to him or the curse again.

I thought there was a romanceish talk related to it, but I am wrong.

Anyway, Viconia still has the whole Underdark quest going for her. If she did become a werewolf, I think her romance dialogues later should refer to it, as it involves substantial body-shape/mentality alterage of your romance object. Or at least for the sake of closure/realism. In fact, I think Jaheira's romance dialogues should refer to her curse too. But I'm not in charge of this anyway.

Who ever said that being a werewolf was not Viconia's personality?

Being a werewolf is not Viconias personality?? Since when is getting bitten by a werewolf a part of anyone's personality it's just an affliction that we will be getting removed, same as Jaheira's baron ployer curse

I get what you're saying.. but all we're saying is that it doesn't fit, because her dialogues later make absolutely no mention of such an important occurrence. Jaheira's romance is all tied up with Ployer's curse*, alot like Anomen's romance hinging upon his quest. Giving the quest to Viconia would require quite abit of rewriting (plus Jaheira's romance bugs are an example to all of how mixing quests and romances don't always work). And also, she's already got the Underdark quest.

Edit after Kish's post below: * Where 'Ployer's Curse' refers to the 'Harper interludes' in my brain. Then again, there might not have been any Harper-related romance consequences. Hmm. Quit while behind.

Sorry Icelus, I can't read the *.mht file. Internet Explorer 5 can't, at least (98SE here)
How's about changing it to *.chm(Compiled HtMl) format? Same as the Help files for DirectX, Win98, more compatible, and compressed too, so it may be smaller.
Just a thought.

I would like to see this quest get done because I think romances in games are boring and that means there is not much for Viconia to do

Not exactly OT, but.. Viconia is rare - what more does she need?  8)

(edit: and when, exactly, are you going to take the plunge and make an account?  :P)

yes take the plunge by all means..... :)

...this just wasn't all that great an idea to begin with...  ...Therefore, with Sim's permission, I'm transferring the thread where it may one day be part of the Quest Pack.  :)

Hahahaha.

Definitely put this one in... please?
Drow werewolves are rare, but they do exist.
So do drow vampires! Drow vampires are actually the easiest to destroy, being _VERY_ sensitive to sunlight. But they're also equal if not more dangerous than elf vampires.
Oh dear, off topic...

I'm transferring this thread over to the Quest Pack forum for a couple of reasons.

First, the more I think about it, and many others agree--this feels like one of the quests that was cut from the game because it just wasn't all that great an idea to begin with.

Second, Cliffette's idea is quite good, and the basic premise for the quest is interesting--just not for Viconia.

Therefore, with Sim's permission, I'm transferring the thread where it may one day be part of the Quest Pack.  :)

(to reiterate, I agree - I do not like the idea of the lycan Viconia)

I think it would be a good idea for a quest, too, and, the more I think about it, the less the original quest seems appealing to give to Viconia.

It'd probably be wiser to focus on Viconia's adventures in the Underdark than on a problem with lycanthropy.

That's why we also inflict it upon an innocent non-UB modder.  :-*
