Mad sling? 0.

I've heard rumours that Mad Sling is actually an almost-anagram of a well-known villain. And I'm sure I've seen his IP somewhere before too.

I don't see how anyone could even entertain the possibility that anyone here is being serious  ::).

Um, I hope you're joking about making this into a component, its pretty obvious to me this is part of a demo version of the game.

Another bit of info if you're going to work on this component: I heard that Andorian (the minotaur) knew about the whole world being a video game, and that's why Aran had him killed.

That's a poor assumption to make if you're roleplaying, because you're depending on out-of-game knowledge. How does your character know whether there's a demo of the game or not?

Because the developers can't tell a good videogame from their arses.

Because he's told so by Aran Linvail?

Umm... didn't it occur to anyone that this might be part of the...

demo version?  ::)

Yeah, this is something we came across not too long ago.  It's already in the works for a future version.  :)

Icelus, I asked you before in PM not to give spoilers away. Do it again and pay the Ultimate Price.

I'll not release spoilers, but many more loose ends will be tied up with the component, yes, including the Lilarcor mystery.  We're trying to decide if we should change the description of Imoen's belt or not, just so that it doesn't seem to out of place.

What is there to say about Imoen's belt? It was used to stop her from dieing in the beginning of the game.

I heard DUNGEON MASTER LINVAIL was the guy responsible for making Imoen's Belt.  Does this plot resolve that mystery in any way?

I dunno, jester.  I mean, the developers obviously wanted the whole Twisted Rune subplot to be responsible for all of the various criminal activities going on around Amn, but it's so much work for us to include that.  I think that Mad Sling has reminded us of something that we could easily restore with a minimal amount of muss and fuss.

Let's face it: Most coders produce a lot of junk on the side and when the product gets shipped noone has the time to remove unnecessary bits that do not hurt the product itself or its saleability. UB did a pretty good job at finishing what the developers either did not have time, ideas or intenion to finish, but this is just a joke. :D
