I mean, now, in v11 at least, war dogs are outnumbering the average shadow thief 3 to 1...

What's up? Are shadow thieves looking for drugs in Irenicus chateau perchance or there's some other kind of explanation about it?

(Also, out in Athkatla, I've never ever seen a Shadow Thief using / summoning / walking a war dog!)

And finally, those war dogs do not make so much of a challenge...

Bear with me, I jumped from Illych v2 to v11 all at once...
The switch from "cheating Rune Assassins" to "poor guy with a wand and some dogs" as the standard ambush party startled me a little...

Get the new v12 instead! Ilyich's patrol script in v11 is completely messed up.

The war dogs don't seem to serve much gameplay purpose, neither for you or for the thief. Or so I thought, until I realized that they can greatly assist you in defeating the pesky thieves. Minsc's Charm Animal ability has finally become useful at at least one point in the game
