Could it be possible to prevent the alignment change due to choosing an evil tear of bhaal? So people can freely choose what rewards to get without exposing to familiar bugs and alignment restrictions?

Bhaal tear alignment change is given trough a permanent ability you get (I think), so changing alignment trough SK is of no use.

Not sure with NI, checking now.

With SK though, the alignment changes are in fact under affects (Along with all spell affects), they even get the happy fun description of Hell Pride Evil (appropiately split, Pride being the test, evil being the evil or good result from the test).

In NI they're under an Effect attribute.

The state flags are stuff like being affected by various spells/status alignments, or even the more simplicistic death.
