Crashes at Naskel
« on: May 16, 2004, 03:36:28 PM »
Everything was working great until I tried to enter Naskel. Each time I try I get the following Error:

An Assertion Failed in ChVidImage.cpp at Line Number 6062
Programmer says: Tile Data Accessed When Not Loaded.

Any ideas?

It appears that I have found an answer to my problem, but I need some assitance in fixing it. Appearently the area3200.bif file is bad in my data folder. It looks like I can simply copy over the exsiting file, but I need someone to email me a copy.

Here is a link with a discussion on the topic. If I'm not supposed to link other sites, I appologize and feel free to take the post down or remove the link.

The file is apparently huge (25 megs), anyone know if I can get the file off the CD and simply copy over the corrupt file in my data folder?

The original poster over at FW crashed at High Hedge, which is AR3200; as your game crashes in Nashkel, you'd need AR4800.bif.
You can find it on CD3, in the \data directory.
Hope all goes well. :)

Just so anyone else who may have the problem knows...

Coping the location over did work. I actually found some other files that didn't copy over completely during the full install, and had to be replaced as well. Apparently, I had a slightly dirty disc when I did the initial installation (I think it was my son's apple juice, but I'm not positive on that one.)
