This would make the PC and Imeon the first kids-of-a-god in DnD history to not have extra-long lifespans?
Minor spoilerage:

Depending on how it's played, ToB kind of takes care of that issue.  I don't know if any other D&D kids-of-a-god ever had similar solutions applied.

I know, but I doubt that that was so complete as to make them 'normal'. The solar would probably just strip the 'spark' that makes godhood and Bhaal's rebirth possible. Actually, though most of the god-children in DnD are gods themselves or powerful outsiders, so the PC and Imoen are possibly in the low end of the power scale.

With regards to Elves, now the level limit has effectively been removed from the game, does this mean elves can advance in levels as fast as humans?

A race that learns as fast as a human but lives 10 times as long will quickly outstrip even the most talented human in all aspects of skilled work. Therefore, elven workmanship will be valued high above human, human labourers will go out of business and their families will starve! This will lead to groups of Elf-hating humans stalking the lands, which in turn will lead to elves supressing humans in shanty towns and using them for cheap manual labour...

And you thought BG2 was a happy game! See the dystopian future that awaits  :P

most elves take there time learning new skills and leveling up. Or they have a hot burning period of heavy work for about 20 years before retiring. They don't work hard and constantly thier hole life like humans do.

Bhaal spawn aren't god children in the normal god child sense. They actually contain part of bhaals essense they don't have thier own divine spark.

Now, at last, the masks had fallen away.  The strings of the puppets had become visible, and the hands of the prime mover exposed.  Most ironic of all was the last gift that Raziel had given me, more powerful than the sword that now held his soul, more acute even than the vision his sacrifice had accorded me - the first bitter taste of that terrible illusion:  Hope.

Depends. Elves reproduce less than humans, get most of their wants from nature, don't have a thriving commercial sense, work decades on a single creation.
Just a comment.

Coran doesn't exactly reproduce 'slowly'...

Coran may be a bit of a lecher but one must realize that most of the bullets in his pistol are blanks, if you get my drift.  Hence why elves don't reproduce much.

I didn't bother reading the whole thread but...

1) Jeheira is sexiest with a much more realistic personality (everything is relative)
2)Theif is the sexiest class (rouges do it from behind)
3)All four romancable characters live dangerous lives, fight almost every day and most likely dies -several times- during the game. They will only outlife the PC if they have a better AC or much higher hp  :P

Jaheira is sexiest??? WTF?!?!? Her face is all crooked and her hair is full of sh*t... But she DOES have the most realistic personality.

Didn't you read?  I had a HRAD DIKC crash, so I won't be able to release the mod until 2079.

OK, it's more like this...

Jaheira: Most realistic
Viconia: Sexiest
Aerie: Briefest (Thank the gods!)
Wilmer: Dumbest

So depending on my mood I play the Viconia romance or the Jaheira romance.

And no one ever mods a cleric.  They're every class but. Well, alright, I haven't seen beastmaster or a wild mage yet, but I'm sure the wild mage is out there some where and no one plays beastmasters anyways.

The lack of cleric mod NPCs frustrates me extremely. I want a freakin' choice, dammit! Gaaah! What about Finch SOA like her readme jokes about?

(P.S. One half of the Kiara / Zaiya mod is a wild mage.)

What do ya want?  A Good cleric who's as powerful as Viconia?  Wouldn't that kinda be broken?  Viconia's very powerful, which is balanced out for most people because they play good parties and she's evil.  (Of course when I play an evil character she's *perfect* [licks lips])

Why mod a cleric??  ???

There's already 4 in the game (counting Jahiera and multiclasses). Yet there are no Barbarians, Wild Mages or Sorcerers, only one Bard and no pure class thieves...

Why not mod a cleric?  There are no single-classed clerics of Lathander that can join your party.  There are no dwarven clerics of Talos with drinking problems that can join your party.  There are are no multi-classed ranger/cleric militant vegetarian anarchist elves with halberds and a lisp that can join your party.

Just because a combat role has been filled doesn't mean you can't make a mod that's redundant.  And the ones above are anything but.

(nitpicker alarm!) Multi-classed ranger/cleric militant vegetarian anarchist elves are not allowed to wield halberds, due to the cleric ethos. Sorry ;)

No, not really. I'd just like to have a different cleric if I don't feel like taking Anomen, Jaheira, Aerie, Viconia, or (god forbid) Cernd.

Zaiya is a wild mage (but I don't like that mod so it doesn't count), Kelsey and Tashia are sorcerers, and I think there might be one or so bard NPCs (edit: Keto, duh) floating around. But I would agree that a single-class rogue or Fighter / Thief would be nice.

I'm sure I really don't need to point this out, but I will anyway - Cernd is a true-class druid, not a cleric.

And I think the choices for cleric, as they stand, are adequate (given the potions and rings and, of course,  cheating)  ;D

I was just saying that as a mod you will spend a lot of time making, clerics seem an unusal choice simply because there are already so many in the game, they will be struggling for party space...

@ Western Paladin: I was talking about unmodded NPC's. I am well aware of the mod NPC's out there :D

My favorite Exploit: If Viconia has her Holy Symbol before you lose her to Bodhi, (This happened because I did Watcher's Keep before finishing the first half of the game) she will get another one when you restore her to life.  Like the Rings of Gaxx, they are cumulative.  As if Viconia wasn't one of the most powerful NPCs to begin with...
