Chicago Game Development conference
« on: April 29, 2004, 11:54:03 PM »
I should have mentioned this earlier, but--

DePaul University is holding another Game Development event at their downtown Chicago campus. As you might remember, I was the moderator of a gaming industry panel discussion there back in February, and they've invited me back for a new event this Saturday.

http://gamedeveloper.cti.depaul.edu ... I believe admission is open to the general public, not just DePaul students. If not, tell them I told you to come and see if my good moderatory name gets you in. :)

If you're wondering what you might be missing, here's the video footage from my presentation the first time around, kindly provided by DePaul.

This is my opening presentation for a panel discussion on "careers in the gaming industry." It contains a too-long history lesson.

This looks interesting - though I don't think I'll be in Chicago around that time, I'll take a look at that file. :)

Argh!  I wish I would have known about this earlier.  I could have combined "ooh-ing and ahh-ing" over a friend's new baby with a trip to  this (slightly different "ooh-ing" and "ahh-ing").

Well, I downloaded the first one, eventually. I suspected you to look/talk more like Kelsey. :)

Were you expecting him to wear robes and tell all the women in the audience that they were his favorite heroines? :P

Hmm... My friend's dads friend owns a whole lot of property around USA and some in Canada, and so he is moving out of his penthouse in Chicago and letting the first friend borrow it for the summer, I will make sure that he knows about this thing, because he is in animation and games. Too bad i dont live in Chicago.

Too bad that the sound of the Panel discussion is almost incomprehensible...
The presentation is nice. History lesson, or so. :D

I had to turn the volume way up in order to hear it.  And I could hear a hint of Kelsey every now and then.  And yeah, maybe the robes...  ;)

Yes, and some fireballs or lightening bolts to wow and hopefully kill some of the audience members.
