Formation changes and pcs starts to drink potions @.@

Ok i got this really weird bug.. and i dunno why. It only showed up after i changed pc...
When i start the game, after some seconds, like 15-25, the formation changes automatically to the second one in the quick slots. Also, after that, if i select a character it refuses to move and it starts to drink potions automatically as fast as iit can. If i go out of play screen (say, to the diary or inventory), when i go back it all works fine.. for another 15-25 seconds before it starts again. I also found.. a "fix" ..  If after loadings, before it happens, I go out to play screen (like before, for example to inventory), go back, press F8, go back out of play screen and then go to play screen... then it doesn't happen anymore (yeah i found out by chance). Still it's a pain in the ass.. also it's sooo  weird. It only showed up on new pc.
Isawe it first with lots of mods installed so i thought it might be their fault but then i triend with only a clean install of SOA + TOB + patch ToB 26498. I Also tried with baldurash fixpack installed but it won't work.

Windows XP
Athlon 64 3200+
Mainboard Asus KV8 Deluxe with chipset VIA K8T800
ram 1 Gb
Shappire Radeon 9800 Pro with catalyst XP 4.4
Creative Audigy 2
free space more than 12 gb on that hd

Did you try a new game along witht the reinstall?

Of course.. i created the char every time... but to no avail ..

NO. as i said, it happens with clean install + patch. whether i install the baldurash fix pack or not .. it keeps happening. i must have tried reinstalling everything like 6-8 times

One lesser-understood quirk of uninstalling and reinstalling the game is that it really doesn't clear out all the garbage that might be hanging around. You have to manually delete the override directory to be sure that everything is gone (ditching weidu.log is also an excellent idea) before you reinstall.

This is completely unrelated to mods. You said you got a new PC and I bet your keyboard and/or mouse is wireless. They cause this problem (and not only in the IE games).

well every time i deleted the bg2 folder but.. echon is right... i HAVE wireless mouse and keyboard .... reading that thread now and trying to solve the prob @.@

Ive got the same problem, i press F9 and that seems to fix it up until I open the game again after shutting down.
