Aerie Baby Thing.....
« on: April 21, 2004, 06:48:31 AM »
Hmm, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this......

Anyway, as the title suggests, Aerie is having a spot of difficulty delivering the baby. The Ravager is quite dead, and I spent a few RL hours wandering around the wilderness, to no avail. I then tried setting "AERIEPREGNANTTIMER" to 1 with Shadow Keeper, to speed things up, but that didn't work either. What's more, the value, (before I changed it) was exactly the same as the one on the save I made right after I killed that Ravager.

It's not like I'll die if I have to finish the game without her having the baby, but if anyone knows how to help out, I'd appreciate it.

Hm... I had this problem recently. When Aerie inform you she is pregnant, the ingame timer set to 30 days. I just walked through areas during month returning to PocketPlane to sleep; throug 30 days baby has born :)

AFAIK it is not game time related, but REAL time related. 30 minutes is what I've been told.

Hmm. I've definitely spent more than a half hour of real time waiting around.

Anyone know if there's a way to force the game to start the count down? I'm guessing something just didn't click over when I passed the final challenge.  I tried killing The Ravager again from one of my old saves, but that didn't help either.

It's been awhile since I romanced Aerie but I do remember that there was a variable called "AERIEBAB"

I've never heard of anyone--anyone--ever seeing Aerie give birth without hacking a variable or otherwise cheating.  I think she's actually meant to still be pregnant (and probably fairly early in her pregnancy actually) at the end of the game, they just put in the giving birth sequence for those who hit the Z key for nine months.

Well, in my game she eventually got the baby even without hacking... I had already given up, after *lots* of time sleeping at the inn in Amkethran, moving around generally for real-time, etc... and after the first fight against Melissan in the Blood Throne, on the way to the pool, Aerie got her baby.
Most unusual place of birth, for sure. :)

I ran around killing things to boost my exp (for a few game weeks, at least) and Aerie had her baby.  No cheating or tweaking here either.  :)

Let me amend that, then. :)  I have now heard of two people who saw Aerie give birth without cheating, but I've never heard of anyone seeing Aerie give birth without cheating or spending a significantly extended amount of time in ToB.

Well, thanks for the help, everyone. I guess I'll clear out the last few floors of Watcher Keep, and see if that doesn't do the trick. I never have finished the thing, so that aught to take a while.

Thanks again.
