deities for IWDNPC divine-class options
« on: November 21, 2019, 01:54:22 PM »
If my mod more or less eliminates the 'generic' cleric class and instead has all priests follows some deity or ethos or other... then which ones would these NPCs follow?  Specifically, Korin and Nella.  My very rough initial thoughts are:

- If Korin is a cleric/ranger, we have a cleric/ranger kit called the "Woodscout of Mielikki."  Mielikki is the patron of most rangers, and this kit is a C/R that can master longbows and shortbows.

- If Nella is a fighter/druid... well, the mod replaces fighter/druids with a "mystic warrior" class, in which each kit focuses on a particular element.  So: Mystic Warrior of Earth?

- If Nella is a fighter/cleric... our fighter/druid kit actually exists in the fighter/cleric class.  So this could actually be a proper fighter/druid.  But, maybe that would go against the player's choice? (They specifically rejected fighter/druid when installing IWDNPC, after all.) For a proper fighter/cleric, looking at our deities with F/C kits, we have... Helm?  Kelemvor?  Lathander?  Tempus?

The Woodscout sounds like a great option for Korin in terms of mechanics. Lore wise however, I seem to recall he actually follows Sune.

Nella however should stay as a dual class. For her, that actually makes sense seeing as her backstory is that she was a caravan guard who has only recently been reared for druidic succession by Arundel and only really comes into her own during the course of the game. Adding any deity other than Silvanus to her however seems deeply out of place.
