BG1UB v16 won't install on BG:EE on Linux
« on: February 24, 2019, 12:05:05 PM »
Hello,

I decided to try installing BG1UB v16 on my Linux installation of BG:EE. So far, I tried:
1) Using Linux WeiDU to install the Linux version of BG1UB v16 on a native Linux version of BG:EE
2) Using Wine to install the Windows version of BG1UB v16 on a Windows version of BG:EE (from the Windows BG1UB archive)
3) Using Wine and stock Windows WeiDU to install the Windows version of BG1UB v16 on a Windows version of BG:EE

Both installation attempts fail, all components fail to install with a similar error:
(this is from a Wine installation attempt)

The BG1UB/SETUP-BG1UB.TP2 mod has 35 distinct optional components.
To save time, you can choose what to do with them at a high level rather

What should be done with all components that are NOT YET installed?

ERROR Installing [Ice Island Level Two Restoration], rolling back to previous state

------
This happens to every single component of the pack.
I successfully installed various other WeiDU-based mods before, but this attempt was made on a clean installation of BG:EE with no mods installed.

I tried searching the contents of the "bg1ub" folder to find references to iconv, but didn't find anything relevant (except the fact that there is an iconv binary inside; it doesn't seem to be directly referenced in any of the text files though, so I'm not sure where WeiDU picks it from).

Any assistance would be highly welcome. Thanks in advance.
