Mod not working properly on newest version of IWD:EE
« on: May 12, 2018, 10:16:50 AM »
Hi. First of all, I'd like to say I love the mod.

I recently updated ICW:DD to version 2.5.16.3 (on GOG). When I opened my saved games, saved under the previous version 1,4, the NPC's names showed "Invalid", with no voices. I uninstalled and reinstalled the mod and began a new game. Everything was working. Now, I opened a saved game, IWD:EE is still the same 2.5.16.3 version, as far as I know, and the same happened to my new saved game. "Invalid" on all NPC's names,

Do you mean saves you did for v1.4 or was it with a new save game you made while playing a new game in v 2.5.16.3?

If old saves are not working any more there is nothing that can be done, I guess. But starting a new game and saving and then loading this save should work, of course.

Make sure you are playing the game in the language you installed the mod to.
The new texts are only added to the game language you chose. Any other game language doesn't know the mod added texts and will show the INVALID: 123456.
The file weidu.conf should list the game language the mod is installed to.
