problem with EE compatibility
« on: November 25, 2013, 09:53:01 PM »
hey, I was quite glad with release of bg2ee.
But ee uses utf8 and original bg2 uses ansi. So, if someone tries to install banterpack in Korean, the game would freeze if added dialogue starts to appear. Seems it is related with 2-byte language.(used in eastern asia; Korea, China, Japan..)

That is what I wanted to say; is there best option that can satisfy all?
I thought releasing two files with different encoding for different package(ansi for bg2, utf8 for ee), but it is quite annoying to uploading 2 same files just for one language.  >:(

EE compatibility issues are still being worked out (by people more resourceful than me) and I trust that in time we'll all have a consistent, single-download solution for all people in all languages.

Just to give this closure: EE compatibility is fully completed in teh current version (BGII:EE, EET).
