Tweaking flirts to have longer delay
« on: January 04, 2016, 11:20:04 AM »
I like the flirt pack and the Jaheria romance and her flirts were fun until now....

She's flirting a little too often.  I've got a faster convo tweak added, so I'm likely the culprit.

Is there a global setting I can tweak to slow Jaheria's flirts in particular?

After the romance is complete, this becomes extremely annoying - in specific reference to Jaheria.   Clicking continue 4 times to cycle through repeat dialog interrupts battle prep, pathfinding, and immersion.   She never evolves past puppy love.

One line or voiceover at a time would be more than plenty.

I believe you can tell her not to flirt with you anymore via player-initiated menu.

It's theoretically possible to add a component that would tweak NPC flirt timer during install. I don't know how really necessary it is, though - I believe the majority of players were fine with normal flirting times, and in your case, it seems you're not happy with content itself.

Once the romance is done, there is no player-initiated option to tell here to stop flirting.  There are a number of options for displays of affection.  An option to stop the comments would work.   I'll probably end up turning it off via the romance variable.  I left it active so long to see how it interacted with other romances and multiple other mods.  It fit in well.

I didn't mind the content at all; it's simply that I've seen the same lines so many times now...and all of them are around 3 or 4 convo (clicking continue) blocks.  Remember the windows help paperclip? - it's becoming a bit like that now.
