Install Errors
« on: April 18, 2014, 12:16:34 AM »
Generally Weidu will stop installing a mod if some sort of error comes up, like errors in dialogs or scripts and what not.
From my debug file I got this. It didn't stop installing, it kept going through the motion of installing the mod, which it really didn't because everything after ar2300.baf didn't install into the game. I noly found out after going to an area in the game and the new content wasn't there. After doing some research everything that was supposed to be installed after the AR2300 error didn't install in the game, even though the debug file says otherwise.
Thought I would bring it to your attention.
Code: [Select]

I can't reproduce this.

Not all parse errors are fatal. If there are not enough arguments, WeiDU pads with zeros until there are enough and continues (that's what it tries to convey when it says it's "recovering"). The malformed script is compiled/extended/whatever just fine, albeit with some arguments zeroed. The error itself is discarded and shouldn't affect anything (and in a quick test, did not interfere with any subsequent actions).

I can pursue (in the event there are additional factors at play), but I would essentially require the mod you are working on, in a state where you can reproduce this problem.

My mistake. The mod did install completely. Some how, some time, I must have clicked the Ignore Overrides box under Options in Near Infinity. Which is why I didn't see any new changes to preexisting game files. That's what happens when I mod late at night when I should be sleeping.  :-\
