FIXED: initial cutscene loop

I'm running .30, just got it, clean install of BG2 and IWD2, started the game with a new character. The cutscene with Irenicus plays as it did in previous versions, where you can hear him but not see him. Then, Imoen comes, I talk to her, and when she's done I still have no control. Irenicus comes in, says his lines again, but this time I can see him. The golem comes in, does his bit, they both exit. Then come back in, say the same lines, and exit.

seems like this'd be a really easy one to repeat, but if that doesn't work, I can send you my savegame.

since nobody seems to know about my first question... is there some way to skip the cutscene so I can play the rest of the game?

Cannot reproduce this problem. Are you sure you don't have some "faster cutscene" mod installed?

Skip the cutscenes? Hmm. You could remove _newgame.bcs from the override folder, maybe.

I was wrong, you were right.

I was able to locate the cutscene loop on my computer and I fixed it locally. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Right, by now I noticed that this project is discontinued. Still, since I suffer from a bug that already has been resolved, thought the solution didn't make it into the latest beta it seems, I would be very glad, if someone could tell me how to disable this bug.

It may or may not work.
Near Infinity may give you an idea of what is happening in the AR0008.bcs script.
I have not had this problem with the Delta version.
