Today, modest nine years after buying it, I finally got around finishing TOB. As a direct result, in my mind's own lil pocket plane Baldur's Gate is a story that took well over a decade to reach it's ending. Epic! It was a delight to notice how that bittersweet emptiness one gets after finishing a very long series of books was very much present when TOB's credits rolled in. It's uncommon&welcome visitor for me and hasn't been there since finishing Dark Tower by King.
I never entirely forgot these games. "One of these summers you'll find time to go through the entire " trilogy" with a flamboyant, half crazed, metrosexual and incredibly evil Blade" I would tell meself. Well, I began last summer, stopped around fall, started again come June and now...now I am done! Bhaal walks with me no more.
But yeah, what an amazing pair of games.
Thanks to pretty incredible efforts of the modding community, both BGs endure entire decades while modern games grow obsolete in months. I installed Tutu+everything else well over a year ago.As a result, I have no clear memory of what mods I'm using and liking. Thusly I'm shy to attempt any well earned "thank you!" listings here. Yet! It'd be crime not to underline the obvious, sheer&simply mind boggling quality present in banter packs and both of the Xan mods. Those creations alone are essentially enough to gift both of the games with a soul.
Excuse the emo Livejournalesque undertone! This isn't anything you should care of we knows!:p Just wanted to share!
