the fact that there is no "it" is what makes it gramatically incorrect
or, I always took the "it" to be a respresentation, instead of an actual thing. What representation? The kind of person, or expletive/adjective/undescribable thing with the confines of the language of choice, you would have to be to barely listen to a traumatic experience as it was being relayed to you. The kind of thing you would just have to read into something, as one often does with poetry.. I don't know. :wacko: Take your pick, already!
Ultimately, I say again, I never gave it that much attention. Rewrite the thing if you're that dissatisfied with it.
