A new installation...
« on: November 09, 2009, 04:19:52 AM »
...on "International version".

Ciao, I'm from Europe/Italy (sorry for my bad English :-[ ) and I found this mod on the web as I've looked for any news on Baldur's Gate, because I've installed the game on my new home PC. (finally I've changed my home!)

I've BG1 on DVD, and the expansion on "classic" one CD version: after the installation (with Italian language) I've put the patch 5512 (International Version) and the mod "The Fields of the Dead" (I ran the setup and worked perfectly).

The game starts with no problems and I hope that the difference between the "original" language and the mod's language will help me to find immediately the new features (only spells seem fully translated).

for the moment a bit 'of information about my new game:
-my Pg is a Woman (Human) - Mage (I've rolled good stats :) )
-alignment: Chaotic Good
-her preferred weapon is the Sling (and the Quarterstaff also, of course)
-now I'm at the "Friendly Arm Inn" and I've met Khalid and Jaheira

see you soon for updates!  ;D

Cool. I hope it does not become a mess language-wise. In addition to spells most item descriptions should also be in English.

I confirm that all items also have English description. For the language, I try to play just a bit of hours and if I don't have any problems I will go to the end, otherwise I will go to reinstall quickly BG in English (with the mod, of course). Thanks for your response, see you!  :)
