WeiDU installer won't work- infinite loop while auto-updating

I've seen a couple threads elsewhere about this problem but they didn't help me. so I apologize if this topic has been covered before.
basically I can't install some mods that have older versions than ones already installed.

right now it's Dungeon-Be-Gone: the only other mods I have installed are 1PP's Thieves Galore and Female Dwarves avatar tweaks. Apparently these use version 21000, while DBG uses 20300. when I try to install it just runs the autoupdating thing over and over without actually changing anything. I think with other mods that do this I've just closed the cmd window and they work, but DBG doesn't.

anybody have a solution for this?

nevermind, I found out how to update the older installs. I guess you just run the newest installer first. I assumed the older installer would update itself when first run.
I guess this topic can be deleted since this is probably common knowledge
