KAHRK the Ogre Mage Crash in BG1
« on: September 30, 2009, 04:01:38 AM »
Hello,

So I'm one of those people who went and installed the "REMOVE SPELLS THAT WEREN'T IN BG2" with bg1tutu v6 and now at Firewine Ruins Kahrk makes me crash to desktop everytime he starts to cast one of his spells. I read this thread http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php/topic,20669.0.html about the issue but couldn't make it not crash just by copying those spells into the override folder. Or is there something else to it as well I'm not getting?

So, just to make it simple, is it possible for me to just uninstall the "REMOVE SPELLS THAT WEREN'T IN BG2" option?

Thanks

OK, got it fixed by myself after trying all the different SPWI302 files, didn't know the old spells actually had their "oldspells" folder in Tutu. I'm wondering though, why this bug isn't fixed, since the thread I was using as my reference is from *gasp* 2005.

Anyways, thank you for to the makers for the awesome mod you've made ;)

People are today generally using the EasyTutu... the BG1Tutu v5, v6 ... were somewhat more buggy test versions.

Ah, I see. That's good to know but too late for me now unfortunately. I just randomly found the Tutu v6 thread when I got the idea to play this game again, and just presumed it was the latest one before even reading about EasyTutu.

Well, just have to hope there aren't any mega bugs oncoming for the last part of the game in Baldur's Gate...
