Aerie flirt problem
« on: May 17, 2007, 09:31:24 AM »
Hi,

I'm currently experiencing some issue with the 1.01 flirtpack (not that I've tried any older version).
Whenever Aerie initiate a discussion with me or whenever I try to talk to Aerie, I have the same one option choice. Something like:

Aerie: "Yes? Do you need anything, <CHARNAME> ?"
1:-No, nothing sorry to bother you.

I'm using a french version of BG2 SOA +TOB and the only other mod I have is the Imoen romane pack.
If anyone can provide me with some indication I'd be grateful.

Thank you

You are using Imoen Romance, and this mod is the cause for the bug.

Not entirely true, I've been using both mods for quite awhile now and they have not interfered with each other in any noticeable way.
But now I've encountered the same problem after having the Accension mod on once, could be related prehaps?
P.S - I did follow the readme instructions regarding that mod, and only this bug for SOA portion of the game has been of annoyance.

The cause is Imoen Romance, because the lines are from there - and NPC Flirt Pack clearly states that it will not be compatible with any other mod that introduces a similar feature. From the readme:

Also, a mod that introduces a similar "click to talk" feature would NOT
be directly compatible. This is simply a limitation of the game's dialogue
engine. So if, for instance, someone adds PST-style NPC conversations, one
will end up "blocking" the other. Reports indicate that this is true for older
versions of Mirrabbo's Imoen Romance.

Hello, I'm Shaykaban from Germany.  :)

Unfortunately, I have got the same problem here. I cannot flirt with Aerie, I get the same reaction as Cjho has described.  :(

And yes, I have installed both Imoen romance and flirt pack without taking care of the compatibility. This is surely my fault! ...I just wanted to have all in my installation...  ;D

Now... I began a game with a bad party in BG1 and want to romance Viconia in BG2. Surely, I want to have the chance to flirt with her. That leads me to the following question:

Is there any way to enable the flirts again, without losing my savegame? I do not care if this will destroy the Imoen romance, I can play it later on after a new installation. But for now, I don't care. I just want to continue playing and want to flirt with Viconia in BG2.

Is there anyone who can help me??

Greetings,
Shaykaban

Setting these variables via console may help, but I'm not sure:
ViconiaMatch=1
ViconiaRomanceActive=1 - and flirts should activate themselves after a few lovetalks
AerieRomanceActive=3
ImoenRomanceActive=4
