Winterwolf Pelt quest still in journal
« on: June 10, 2008, 11:18:34 AM »
In my current EasyTutu game, I have given a Winterwolf pelt to the Nashkel Store guy but the entry remains in the uncompleted section of my journal.

Also Silence, the shopkeeper in the Shop of Silence in Baldur's Gate, has a male avatar for some reason.

I'd rather a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

Yes.  His offers still stands, so I left the entry in as a reminder.

Noted, thanks.  This is a carryover from BG1 -- the actor's gender / avatar doesn't match the soundset there as well.

Silence used to have a female avatar in BG...at least thats the way I remember it.

Sure about the winterwolf pelts? In the game I am playing now Taerom Thunderhammer either only takes any and all your ankheg shells one time for 500gp, or makes the armour, unlike original BG where you could sell him ankheg shells repeatedly. The same with the dwarf in Baldur's Gate, he takes any and all ankheg shells for 250gp just the one time and the shopkeeper in Nashkel only accepts one Winterwolf pelt then says he doesn't need any more...

Are these changes not part of EasyTutu?  Any idea which other mod would cause it if not, I didn't see anything about it in the documentation for mods I have installed but some have less than complete details about the components.
The only reason I the journal entry was broken is because the journal entries for the other two quests go to the completed section after selling one set of creature parts but the winterwolf one didn't

If you go to the area trans just behind the Iron Throne building you come out on the north side of the central wall in the next area over instead of the south side as you should.

The journal entry for Missing Citizens, the quest from Scar about the ogre mage in the sewer has not been removed to the completed quests section after I finished it.

In my TOS installation here that isn't the case.

I can't speak for Taerom and the BG ankheg guy -- I don't recall ever altering their quest behavior.  The pelt guy absolutely lets you repeat the quest.  He even mentions it every time you click on him to access the store.  This isn't anything I changed.

I'll take a look.

I wonder if a mod hasn't commandeered one or more of his dialog transitions, then.  I've got them all covered in unmodified EasyTutu.  I even recall doing that quest in my test playthrough, and the journal behavior was fine.  Mind posting your weidu.log?

I've since carried on through ToB, and uninstalled EasyTutu so don't have the WeiDU.log from my last playthru. I intend to start again soon and will seen what happens this time, trying to find what mod changes things without the readme telling me the details is not easy when I can only read the simpest WeiDU code.

It's quite likely to be Sword Coast Stratagems, if you've got that installed. (In which case, yes, I ought to be deleting the journal entry.)
