Doing Underdark quests after Sola joins

I've succeeded in getting his dark elfliness to join my party, and still have the real eggs for Adalon. In order to give Sola as much experience as possible I haven't completed all the underdark quests - I've still got the beholder lair, the imprisoned souls, the mindflayer city and a few other bits and bobs to do. Is it OK for me to wait till after doing these before giving the eggs to Adalon? Or should I give them to her ASAP; go to the door to the ruins; fight my way back into the Underdark and then return to the exit later?
