Rocks. Huge minus: to view history through Googletalk, you have to be online(Gmail).

Trillian Pro corrects that, but it's 25$; I don't love Trillian that much. Miranda - I've heard lots of bad things about Miranda, and I've seen it and I didn't like it.

Dear tech people, do you know what utility should I use to 1) use Googletalk; 2) have my history recorded offline on my machine; 3) have it for free?

Chat choice is here, but apart from Googletalk itself, Trillian and Miranda(and iSomething, which is obviously OSX-ish), I don't know what these things do.

If there's a third-party plugin to Googletalk, I'd take it.

Downloading, thank you! One thing: from time to time I had problems with Trillian & Cyrillic encoding; you think Pidgin will understand azbuka?

I'll check it when the download finally ends, then; just tried, and it stopped before its time.

By the way, it seems Google is releasing a new browser tonight, too: Chrome, beta. I think I'll go with Opera for the time being, but "separate processes for separate tabs" and "memory optimization" sound nice.

I'm using pidgin with cyrillic just fine. Though I don't like it much :/
