Couple old questions, regeneration and backstab...
« on: August 12, 2008, 10:09:16 AM »
Working on a couple of NPCs and I'm hitting some old snags I had ages ago, thought it might be worth asking about them here.

First, the problem with combined regeneration and polymorph which causes stuttering, did anyone ever find a solution to this?

Second, is there any way to revert backstab for PCs to be non-sensitive to where the backstabber is standing relative to the target, a la NPCs?

Thanks.

First, I don't know why that combo would cause issues in and of itself.  Maybe it's a buggy script or the way you've applied the effects are conflicting.

Second, no I think it's hardcoded.

It's always done that, as far as I'm aware. Best example is when the party is polymorphed into drow and one of them has a ring of regeneration equipped. The only solution to that problem to date that I know of has been to mod out the graphical effect of the polymorph.

Thanks, though.
