The "I Just Finished Baldur's Gate" Club
« on: July 03, 2008, 02:37:56 PM »
I just finished Throne of Bhaal last night with a character I took through BG 1&2. I don't know what to do with my free time anymore. Now and then my brain blinks out and conjures up an epilogue for my character. I am still winded from my success. Anyone else in the same boat?

SPOILER: Jan's epilogue is the best. ;)

Buy IWD if you liked the battles in BG.
Buy Torment if you liked the dialogues in BG.

??? Whaaaaat? Who says I don't already have IWD? I could play it again for the umpteenth time, but that would just curb the epic feeling of finishing a game that takes supreme dedication to finish. No, I will only start playing IWD when I'm on the rebound. That may take some time however, as I'm now delusional enough to desperately write up a .d file to make my character a playable NPC. BG is my first and last gaming love. (But IWD is one hell of a mistress.)

Go back to playing Mount & Blade, Hidro. It won't ever amass to the feeling of accomplishment you get from Baldur's Gate, nor will it give the same stunning feeling of relation to your character - but it will pass time ;)

Do the series again with an 'opposite' character - good/evil, male/female, spell-use/non-spell use? Try the adventures in a different sequnce (so you have differing levels of development), etc?

Well, have you downloaded any of the mods over here?  (Stupid question maybe...)  Try going through the game again with Unfinished Business or something??  I know back awhile ago there were a bunch of mods that added to and changed around the play of the game; it could be lots of fun :D
