Mac 10.4.11 Ribald issue

Hi, I'm having an issue with my copy of BGII. Every time I save it fails, but I've seen the steps to correcting this, but in addition to that, When I exit the Adventurer's Mart I get this error "An Assertion failed in CStore.cpp at line number 394 Programer says: RIBALD failed to write file" and the game crashes, and with the save error as well it's rather difficult to see if this is purely a Ribald error or an error widespread in the file. Anyone else seen this problem or have any idea how to fix it? I should say I have 3 mods installed, the Nalia Romance, Dungeon Be Gone, and Ashes of Embers.
