Most comics - popular-and-not-horrible comics, that is - suffer from the same malady: excellent artwork and bland text. "The Phoenix Requiem" is a good(I mean, bad, for me, at least) example; there are many more. But, drifting between beautiful and boring, I found this little gem:
Marry Me, a graphic novel. It's very simple, the plot revolves about one event and four(so far) major characters, but it makes an impression just the same. It's popular because of the same reason "Pretty Woman" was popular: all characters feel alive.
I don't quite understand why it's copyrighted only by the writer, and the artist isn't even mentioned on the main page, but, well, lucky writer, I guess.
I recommend it.
And, yes, Dungeon Crawl and Elf Only Inn forever, etc.
