best use of Kalah quest's genie lamp?

I'm thinking it's either going to be the shapeshifter ability or "I wish that all my enemies will die." The latter wish could certainly come in handy at the final battle at theThrone of Bhaal, after spells and buffs are depleted.  Does that wish kill all enemies regardless of species/class, no mattter how high level?  Even Melissan?  (I think I only used a wish spell once in the past, and it was so long ago I've forgotten how it works.)

It's exactly like casting Limited Wish, except for the few role-playing answers you can give ("I wish Kalah to suffer in hell", etc. etc.), which give some K Exp points.

Tried this the other day. Wishing to free the genie gives 5000 XP and a +1 Rep. I had a save just before using and tried some of the others - damning Kalah's soul or killing the Rakshasa is less rewarding, but there's also the option to resurrect Kalah so that he can learn from his mistakes. He's grateful but I didn't get any XP or rep change for this - I'm not sure if that is intentional or not. Would be good to know as that, and freeing the genie, are the obvious "good" choices.

Personally, I like to use it for a limited wish so that the gong quest can get going in tandem with the trademeet quest(s).  Since I was running rogues (or part-rogues) the two times I did this, I didn't consider it much out of character.  Ultimately, I just use the lamp/Kalah quest to streamline my adventure path a bit.

Needing a limited wish spell in order to undertake the gong quest seems a bit much considering the relatively minor rewards and ease of the combat involved.
