You're making me cry. All right, JUST because you're my favourite Xan fanfic author, we might think of something. :) But, seriously, I need portraits to create final .cre files, including alternate classes, because I have to apply correct colors. Same with voices: it's good to have feedback.

Of course; and don't mind me, I'm just excited :)  For what it's worth (I am aware I don't comment enough) I loved the portraits on the other post, and I know you'll want to have everything as perfect as possible (which is why I tend to have rather high expectations -- and for all PPG mods, really!).

And I do have 2 weeks off in the summertime... :D

Ditto on the sexy voicing!
Double ditto!

I might be suggesting this a little late and it probably won't be easy with IWD, however I'd love flirts.
PC flirting, NPC flirting and sexy flirting.  Okay, there might be a little bit of obsession showing here. :)  (It's JC's fault, he started the revolution!)

Flirts, definitely. But only PC-initiated ones: first, game engine limitations, second, I'm not too fond of NPC-initiated flirts, third, it'd be pretty hard to squeeze them between lovetalks. :)

This mod includes romance too, right? I was just wondering which one of NPC will be the PC's romantic interest?  ;) That's all

27th April? I'd like to hope so, but voice actors and artists all have busy schedules. But you'll be playing a closed working beta by then, if you want. :)

Do you even have to ask?:>

Btw, I don't care for voicing in mods. More usually then not I find it irritating. Sure, I can install it later as a nice add-on (especially since Diriel's voice actor is so hilarious...), but it really isn't important. Btw, do you voice any of these lines, Kulyok?

Margot, but we WILL have an update with the you-know-which story before that, right? ;> <weights her staff in the hand>

Well, there are mods and there are Pocket Plane Group mods, you know. :) But I didn't voice any of it, though I was tempted.

And, yes, I'll place an advert for beta testers soon enough; wait for it!

Ah, fair enough.  Npc initiated flirts can, sometimes, happen at notoriously bad times.

I know it is completely ot, but - hey I am curious, it is only human to posses (this particular) flaw(s) - why?

*blink*

So there I was, thinking to myself - IWD needs joinable NPCs.  BG2 has zounds of them, so why not show IWD a little love and write some for it myself?
So then I go searching for anything that will tell me yea or nay on whether it could be done, and how different from BG2 it would be.

..and look what I stumble upon!

Excellent work Kulyok, from what I see. As people have said, this is just what IWD needs.  And from you, I know we can expect quality content.

As for what I expect...well, for one, immersiveness.  Sure, offer alternative classes to balance out the party if necessary, but for me at least its more important
that the characters are realistic and 'flow' the way they should, something that happens best when the characters are free to match your concept of them.
And if the going gets tough, well...I'll deal  =)

For two - backstory and depth of character persona is almost as important as immersiveness (actually it contributes to it).  Again,
Oh, and the more banter, etc, the better. As long as everything makes sense and doesn't seem forced, its rather difficult to go overboard here =P

After that, things like voice acting are icing on the cake. They're usually nice to see, but they don't really make the mod what it is.

Anyway, I know I have a tendency to be a bit...verbose. Apologies.  I'll be watching this mod *very* closely - and of course, if and when you need beta testers,
I offer my services if you'd have me.

weird wonderful timing.
I havent played icewind dale in years, but i just got the expansion last month, so i just played how and totlm and was looking for mods to replay it again, and here's this.
I think I'll be waiting to replay til you are done with this mod, and I'd definitely love to be a beta sacrifice, if you need more.

It's too bad you have bad recording equipment.  A Russian accent would be great!

Heh, that kind of reminds me of the time when I first played BG1 :)

The polish distributor (I imagine after hearing how many accents can one have in english) made 1/2 of characters speaking polish with russian accents (Imoen, Jaheira, Dynaheir, Edwin to mention the most popular). I didn't mind, it was a masterpiece in times when so little games made it in my native language but I know a lot of poeple who don't like any kind of accents.

Like I said, I'm not one of them, but I would like the NPCs to sound like the author of the mod wishes it - when a modder is happy with her/his work the players also tend to be ;D

Cheers!

I guess you are right. :) I've still to see it all - though, judging by the samples, I am not going to be disappointed!

Can you add a few new areas to Icewind Dale? Perhaps just import several from Icewind Dale 2 or Baldurs Gate 2 and make them optional mini adventures ala TOTL?

I am sorry, but that's outside of the scope of this mod.
