I would like to vote for this one.

I would also like to say that I laughed for nearly 5 minutes over Bons' sig. Way too much sugar.

Yes, I think this one's prettier, too.

I agree - I like this one better as well.  It's lighter overall and more of the close-up style of the rest of the BG portraits.  Good job, Bons!

Portrait love is great! You don't have to vote between the two, though. I intend to package both sets as options on install, so you'll be able to pick 'Original' or 'BGII-style' to your heart's content.

Which one is which, though?  I assume BG-II style is this one, since original could only mean the... um, original one, yes?

Yes.

Does the mere mention of the word 'Original' make anyone else think of fried chicken?

And the Original will be the one used on the eventual 'Download Me Please' page, so it'll be a safe guess that this one is the...um, Other Portrait That People Actually Like. In fact, I think that's what I'll call the component. :)

I am glad to see that she has recovered. Before she looked a bit like someone after a stroke.

So there is an option during installation to have the picture of a fried chicken instead or what?

No, it means I was hungry while I was posting.

Um, back to the portrait. Mongoose87 had commented about funkiness with Surayah's necklace. I didn't add any shadowing, which I think is the cause. (And I can't believe Galactygon didn't point out the lack of shadows - *gasp!* :) ) That is the only tweak I see making at this point, since there's plenty left to do in other areas of the mod that could better use the time.

It's going to be hard to choose between the default and alternate ports. I like them both. :-)

This one is good. She has a Middle Eastern look to her which is what Calimshan is based on.

Thanks for the comment, Blood Raven. I had wondered with this alternate version if I had strayed too far away from a Calimshite look.

Kate, you hadn't commented on this version yet. I appreciate it!

Who said anything about playing a mod only once? ^_^  :-*

You don't wanna know about my default mod install list. Haha. When this one is finished I think It'll earn a place into my deault selection. And yes, I'm pretty picky :P

Really good work. One not though: the upper part of the necklace looks a bit "sharp".
It stands out from the rest of the picture.

Is that Penelope Cruz? As an Australian, it is my patriotic duty to dislike Penelope Cruz.

But top job! Very BG2ish - more so than the original in terms of composition :)

No. No. No Penelope Cruz. I based both portraits on a Brazillian model named Caroline Ribeiro. In this case, my starting point was a scan of a print ad.

Wonderful portrait Bons!!  Like Cliffette, I am also relieved to hear that it is not based on Penelope Cruz. :)

So we basically have a cadre of cliffette, KIrving and me giving the big *ppffbbt!* to all things Penelope Cruz. I was a little sad that there's enough of a resemblance in Surayah's alternate portrait that the question came up, because I so don't want that. *sniffle* *boohoo*

Okay, I'm over it now. Just no one ask me if the default was based on Catherine Zeta-Jones, or I'll be completely traumatized. :)

P.S. cliffette: Beaker = LOVE

Surayah looks like a woman. Therefore, she doesn't look like Penelope Cruz.

Great job Bons!!
Both portraits look amazing (especially this one) and I would be more than happy to play with either one.
And don't worry, she resembles Penelope Cruz not at all!
