I have never understood the stigma some people seem to think should be associated with people who host mods that were once public, then the site went away. I mean... private betas going public is a little tacky (unless the modder retired and never released it).

Maybe I am stupid or something for not understanding.

Either way, I don't care. I see no reason to deny someone something they might enjoy because they either joined the communities too late, overlooked it, or lost their copy.

Yeah, we're talking past one another just a little bit, I think.

I don't have a problem with caretaker hosting of unsupported stuff, but sometimes the author has set up shop somewhere else and we don't know about it.

That seems silly. I fail to understand the point of having it somewhere for people to download, and not bother telling anyone where.

www.rosenranken.org is a huge website which hosts many fine German mods, so either it's down for a few hours, or the link changed. I'd wait a bit.

Google Chrome has a translate page function, it is not perfect, sometimes it is not terribly accurate or readable. Russian to English can be good because function may translate the meaning of the name rather than transliterate it. Sati Kazanova becomes Sati Casanova...
I had a quick look at the link, translation seemed okay by the standards of current functions.
Anyway, the function may give you profound insight into the theory of translation...

@Graomf it looks like they don't know. Jastey looks like he/she is trying to look into it but is having difficulty as the website was their primary means of communication. Apparently he/she had some mods on the rosenranken and he/she can provide them (I am guessing it will be by pm/email) but I am not sure which mods are his/hers...

I have windows 8 and mcafee. it will not let me download this softward off the chez.fr site no matter where the link is..stating that it is not commonly downloaded and will harm my computer. I get red flags and options to either run or delete. It would be nice to download this program without the flags, it makes me suspicious of viruses and the that the site in non US. Anyone else having problems like this?
