And "The Hero's Guide to Successful Adventure". Xyx's page is dead.

Looks like SP has these covered.

Xyx's Spell Guide: http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/SpellsReference/Main.htm
UU's guide: http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/dl.php?s=BG2&f=BG2/cheese_guide.zip

I've updated the modlist.

What JC said, plus there's always Google Cache.

It works for only the The Hero's Guide to A Successful Adventure, though. The cache for the Spell Guide is empty.
"Kneel before the Lord Dragon, or you will be knelt." - Mazrim Taim, Wheel of Time

"Right. I had to get up at ten o'clock at night, half an hour before I went to bed, drink a cup of sulphuric acid, work twenty-nine hours a day down at the mill and pay the mill owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our mother and father would kill us and dance on our graves singing Halleluja. Yeah, and we've been reading through it half an hour, too. :) Unfortunately, Google Cache and webarchive are probably not the best destinations for modlist links, so we were fortunate Sorcerers.net had a (hopefully authorized) mirror.

I think there's an important distinction to be made between unauthorized, potentially out-of-date and not necessarily well-supported mirrors of an active piece of IP and the preservation of a useful resource which has only gone missing because somebody's interests have changed and their old website went down. In the past we've repopulated old TeamBG tutorials which were lost to site disappearances and we would certainly do it again if need be, knowing full well that if the authors resurfaced they'd be welcome to ask us to take it down blah blah etc.

(Bottom line: it's good that SP has them up. If they hadn't, I'd have plucked them from Google cache/archive.org and put them somewhere myself until such time as Xyx and UU showed up again.)
