Unlikely that the cowled wizards would:

a) have this much info about the PC
and
b) get involved in a the situation if they did.

Their goal is solely to keep magic in check within Amn, so I don't think they'd really bother with Tethyr unless they were directly under threat

Why do the figures in the ending move have to be a group who've already made an appearance in BG1/BG2? To me what they're saying ("we should have acted long before now") makes more sense if they haven't cropped up before.

Also, it seems unlikely that they'd be a pre-five members Five due to the "this spawn of Bhaal is doomed." line.  If they themselves were spawn of Bhaal, wouldn't they say "our sibling is doomed" or somesuch?

I agree that they're most likely a group of fanatical priests of Bhaal who're out to resurrected their god.  In other words, a pre-Mellissan Mellissan ;).

The Rodriguez Brothers
« Reply #54 on: April 09, 2004, 10:44:15 AM »
(originally posted by Peter Scolari at FWS)

okay this is true. my cousin works at the tim hortons in edmonton and he swears up and down that drew carapathian and david raydar come in for danishes all the time and talk about games.

fuckface and fucknut rodriguez WERE in the game. but they cut it because the ratings people said it would give them an m rating and the bioware bosses dont want to sell anything that isnt teen rated.

and it wasnt gonna be offensive!!!!!!! they said it was just the NAMES that made it m.

so if you want to restore it my cousin said that they said it was going to be about fuckface trying to get fucknut out of his appentisechip to the smithy in trademeet. you had to either buy out his contract with a rouge stone or find a replacement which was gonna be the annoying squire from the order after annomen kicked him out.

i hope you guys do this love the mod.

Fuckface and Fucknut? I'm surprised Bioware would even think about putting this in the game. What a joke!

they're a splinter group from somewhere: black isle or interplay, and black isle's been/was a part of iplay.

Bioware was a brand new company when it was formed, it wasn't split off from anywhere.  Interplay were just the publishers of Bioware's early games (BG1 to ToB), a role now fulfilled by Atari.

You're probably getting confused with Black Isle, who were (and what's left of them are now part of) Interplay's RPG division.

Well, Peter Scolari's 1-for-1 on mod information in the past (remember Improved Ilyich?) so I think this deserves some serious consideration.

Exactly so. They're based in good old Edmonton and started as an independent gaming companty. :)

I guess so.. what I'd actually thought (but typed it wrong) was that bioWare was Iplay's design core, and when it left  iplay's wing, black isle was formed as it was they who stayed behind.  ::)  Er, thanks Nightmare.  :)

as far as I know, the core of black isle formed Obsidian.. at least, the bigger names are there.

There is a female rogue outside the inn in Trademeet. Has anyone found any clues as to if she was planned as significant?

I don't remember one right outside the inn, but there is one in the upper right map area.  (that one is related to the rakasha quest)

Hula Wizard?

I remember back in my cheating days, I was changing my appearance through ctl+7, and I remember finding one called a Hula Wizard, and I can't remember seeing the animation in game.  You guys know anything about this?

Talos Priest in Temple District
« Reply #68 on: May 13, 2004, 08:31:47 AM »

  I am not sure:

1) If this is the right place to ask the question.

2) If the question has not been answered.

The Question:  The Talos priest that is approached by the woman w/child, is there a point to the scene? Was it part of a greater quest? Or just one of those things? It always struck me as an elaborate and pointless scene.

Otherwise, UB is a nice enhancement to the game. :)

This example is one of the things that makes Unfinished Business somewhat difficult.  There are all kinds of similar events in the game that seem like they *could* be part of a larger quest, but, more then likely, are there only to add a bit of atmosphere to the game.  Since we really don't have a reliable source of information about what Bioware truly intended to include, a lot of things are just speculation.

Don't stop bringing up things you notice, however.  You never know when you might find something the rest of us haven't yet noticed.  :)
