Quest problem in Saradush

I've got a problem with the quest between Lazarus and Hectan.
I've spoken to Lazarus to trigger the quest.
Then I've spoken to Squip (the small boy) and he told me to speak with Hectan.
I did it, Hectan told me I'd give me the Lazarus'book against a scroll of teleportation BUT when I come back to Lazarus, I can't tell him about the Hectan "offer".
Is it a bug? Do you know how I can fix it?
