BG1 Unfinished Business solution

I've been playing BG1 Unfinishd Business with BG1 Tutu, and just found out that (technically) it's not compatible.
Now, Berrun Ghastkill did tell my PC  to go to Thalantyr afterbeing shown th mysterious vial etc.. The first time I approached Thalantyr, he talked vaguely about the vial(I think), but I then quickly reloaded to check that I'd done something on an earlier  saved game, and every single time I  went to Thalantyr again after reloading (even  with earlier saves), I faild to get him to give me further information.

Is there a SetGlobal command or somesuch that could get Thalantyr to talk to me re this?

Secondly, since I've now belatedly found out that  BG! is not yet compatible with Tutu, should I reload and reinstall all over again or just carry on?
