WeiDU 195 and IWD2 EoU
« on: August 26, 2006, 10:53:21 AM »
When the installer updates to WeiDU195, I am unable to install IWD2 EoU mod. The parses it gioves are probably connected with the scripting options that has changed from 2003. I'd like to be able to use it with 195, so I was wondering if I can solicit the advice on how things can be doctored. Great thanks in advance!

So, the showstopper #1:

[SETUP-IWD2-EASE.TP2] PARSE ERROR at line 419 column 5-19

   syntax error

ERROR: problem parsing TP file [SETUP-IWD2-EASE.TP2]: Parsing.Parse_error

the associated lines in TP2:

Quote

//all items within the same COPY_RANDOM block will be randomly swapped

RANDOM_SEED 1   //change this number if you want a different random
                //arrangement

COPY_RANDOM

     ~00MACE01.ITM~ //     12 ~Mace~

Hang in there. I'll try to make you glad you did.

Wes had to change the COPY_RANDOM syntax afterwards he opened the SET removal can of worms. There should be some threads about that somewhere or somewhere else (EG http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php/topic,21731.0.html)

Please, stay with me (spellhold is broken as usual, and PPG thread is a bit unclear)

So, will the correct syntax be:

COPY_RANDOM

(~00SWDS01.ITM~  ~00MACE01.ITM~ ...) [(10 ~Short Sword~ 12 ~Mace~  ...)]

ie what do you do with the numbers outside the tildas? and it is COPY_RANDOM not COPY_RANDON as per Rastor's last question?

Also, does correct TP2 float somewhere or everyone rebuilds it for him/herself kindda thing? Will it be Okay to rebuild it to match newer versions and put up as a public download?
Hang in there. I'll try to make you glad you did.
