how do you view messages on this forum

This sounds like an unbeliveably dumb question, but i can't make them work.
my user info tells me: "Hey, eleazar, you have 3 messages, 0 are new. "
Clicking on "3 messages" takes me to the message screen, but there's nothing between the column header and the bottom bar.  Clicking on the outbox is different in that it has an additional line; "no messages..."

I've tried viewing the messages in Safari, Firefox, and Camino on Mac Os X 10.4.7.  All three show me the same nothing.
