Porting a BG2 NPC to Tutu
« on: July 01, 2006, 11:52:52 AM »
I did a few searches in Q&A and it seems BG2 npcs use the same resources.

My question is this -

I have a BG2 NPC - will its .cre and .tp2 (assignment of name, deathvar, sounds, scripts) carry over into Tutu with a few modifications to the sounds/scripts?  I don't intend at this moment to give him/her  a banter file, just the normal joining/leaving file and a basic 'attack' script.   I just want to CLUAConsole him/her in so no extend to a Tutu-ized area.

Thanks.

Assuming the sounds and scripts aren't going to overwrite any Tutu resources, you shouldn't even have to tinker with them.

If they have default BG2 items, though, you might want to swap those with Tutu equivalents.

Thanks - this was a very primitive SOA mod, long abandoned, which I'd like to port the npc to Tutu as he is a dwarven cleric.  I'm sure I can find another warhammer for him to use.  I've noticed a lot of the BG2 action stuff was carried over. :D
